Living in Style Event: The hottest editors and influencers in the NY area gathered for a day of pampering and exercise at the Exhale Spa in the luxurious Hotel Gansevoort. Located in the Meatpacking District, the event kicked off with a variety of spa treatments where our guests where able to relax and indulge with a chair massage, skin consult, ear seeds and a nail polish change from Scotch Naturals. Featuring a bright collection of eco-friendly polishes, guests loved the high-quality of the polishes that are also non-toxic and water-based. Our guests also enjoyed a sampling of some of the incredible services from Exhale Spa with skin consulations, ear seeds and massages! Located in a bright and vibrant studio, Exhale Spa also has a complete face and body menu with Acupuncture, Vibrational Therapy, Waxing (Brows and Lashes) and Facials. Pure rejuvenation for moms!

After everyone was relaxed and rejuvenated, we all enjoyed a delicious and healthy lunch from The Fresh Diet. Featuring healthy tuna, shrimp and turkey wraps, along with some fresh vegetables our guests enjoyed a sampling of some of the food offerings that The Fresh Diet can deliver straight to your door – making dieting about eating healthy and not some crazy fad diet. There was also room for dessert thanks to the delicious chocolate-covered figs and chocolate chip cookies. It’s all about balance, right!

Nicole kicked off the presenation and introduced everyone to Anna Gagie of Exhale. She spoke about their exciting classes, including their Core Fusion Class that focuses on working out with a barre and a cardio class that merges cardio with intense strength to tone and sculpt abs, legs, and glutes.

Belabumbum, a lifestyle brand that sells lingerie and maternity wear, then spoke how they enjoy focusing on products that sell to real women. Nicole, Sherri and Brooke looked super comfortable and fashionable in their soft and flowing pieces that can make your feel great while running around with the kids. They also mentioned their exciting “Show Us Your Belabumbum Contest” where they are asking fans to create a “My Belabumbum” board on your Pinterest account showing your favorite Belabumbum pieces, as well as other images that you love during your journey through motherhood and what makes you feel good at the stage you’re at right now. Contest ends in May and the winning board can win a $500 Belabumbum shopping spree!

Jill and Pam of Triple Threat Mommy

Jill Vegas, celebrity decorator and author of Speed Decorating was next. Renowned for her ability to effortlessly and stylishly transform a home in a day or less, Jill gave an exciting presentation on how to incorporate color into the home. Jill spoke how colors like Shale, Marigold, and Peony can refresh up a home and add new life to an otherwise dull space. Here are some of her exciting suggestions:

SHALE. This color works in every room. I usually use it in the dining room and at night it becomes a soft shade of grey making the room feel intimate and warm. I like to add a vase of yellow tulips or flickering candlelight –instant romance.

STORM. I love the rain and constantly shifting sky in the spring — this shade of grey looks gorgeous in a living room. It changes with the light–creating a sophisticated and cozy vibe. I mix in accents of blue, green and white to make the room come alive.

YELLOW MARIGOLD. Spring excites me, especially a burst of daffodils — so happy and cheerful. This shade of yellow brings joy and a fun sense of humor. I really love this shade in an all-white kitchen for a juicy dose of excitement on an accent wall.

PEONY. Shocking pink is the perfect way to brighten up your wardrobe — literally shellac the interior of your closet with this sassy shade of hot pink for a feeling of instant glamour. Your all black wardrobe will look amazing against a backdrop of sexy pink.

POPPY. High gloss poppy red looks ah-mazing in a powder room. I like to add a chandelier and a deco mirror to glam up the space and make it feel intimate and really hot.

BLUE LAPIS. When you really want to feel like your bathroom is an escape ‘?? try this blue for inspiration. Mix in a crisp white shower curtain, new plush towels. Draw a decadent bath and all stress melts away….

DECORATORS WHITE. This is the perfect white. It’s crisp and clean and looks stunning paired with a bright jewel tone.

Jill is full of wealth of information and practical tips to change your home. She is also offering a new four-week online course called the School of Speed Decorating where you can learn all about the steps to decorating success, how to get inspired, and Jill’s quick and dirty decorating tips that even a novice can master. The class starts in June, so be sure to sign up here.

Lauren of A Mommy in the City and Serena wearing the STOKKE MyCarrier

STOKKE then spoke about their Xplory stroller that is designed to grow with your baby. This includes a height advantage as well as the ability to an adjust the handle bar to make it safe and comfortable for your newborn all the way up until they are four years old. STOKKE also spoke about their new MyCarrier. I touted along my baby in the carrier to the event and I honestly loved how it took strain off of my back and allowed my baby to look out, rest against my chest or even be carried on my back when she is older. Lauren of A Mommy in the City also loved testing out this innovative carrier as her six-week-old was nestled and rested during much of the event. STOKKE also spoke about their classic Tripp Trapp, whose design hasn’t changed in 40 years, and how it can grow with a child until they are an adult. In fact, one mother told STOKKE that their Tripp Trapp traveled with their son all the way to college.

Nicole then spoke about cleaning with method. We just love their “Clean Happy” video (see below) and have been using their gentle products to brighten up our homes and all the messes that come with life with kids. Featuring a fun and bright collection of laundry detergents, dish soaps, toilet cleaners and all-purpose cleaners, method gets us excited (and dare I say happy) to clean! To keep on the latest trends be sure to stop by the method facebook page–this is the place to find out about new products and fun happenings such as the debut of the Clean Happy anthem.
